Conference: Physical activity reconstruction in individuals and past populations - 30/06/26
We are pleased to invite you to the mini-symposium “Reconstructing Physical Activity in Past Individuals and Populations: Techniques, Methods and Applications”, which will take place on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm in the B6 Building Amphitheatre (Bordes Campus, University of Bordeaux).
This first edition of a thematic meeting will focus on the methods and approaches used to reconstruct physical activity in past populations, with particular emphasis on the evolution of human bipedalism and upper limb activity. The mini-symposium will adopt an interdisciplinary perspective at the interface of biological anthropology, paleoanthropology, biomechanics, 3D imaging, and archaeology. The detailed programme and practical information can be found in the attached flyer.
Registration is not required. However, if you are planning to attend, we would appreciate it if you could let us know in advance to help us with the organization of the event. For any questions, please contact Christopher Knüsel (christopher.knusel@u-bordeaux.fr).
