Research Interests
My main interests include the application of chemical and physico-chemical analytical methods to the study and characterisation of cultural and archaeological heritage. My PhD project focuses on the investigation of pigment and binder compositions in past colours and the way compounds were prepared, applied and perceived, with the aim to identify, document, and explain Gallo-Roman decorative traditions.
