Research Interests
My research focuses on the history of food, particularly animal products, and social practices through notions of norm/marginality and integration/exclusion in the Aegean Greek world during the Hellenistic and Imperial periods. I am particularly interested in the construction and transmission of ancient knowledge (technical, medical, philosophical and historical knowledge). From this perspective, I place great emphasis on historiography and epistemology, as well as on the conservation and transmission of textual heritage, and the use and perpetuation of data.
