Research Interests

My research focuses on the study of morphological, skeletal, and dental variability, as well as the analysis of surface modifications on Eurasian human remains from the Late Pleistocene and the Early Holocene, with significant attention given to members of the Neanderthal lineage in Northern Central Asia. These analyses lead me to investigate the gestures performed by the living on the deceased within these populations and to discuss the contexts in which these postmortem manipulations took place.
