Research Interests

My research focuses on the study of the morphometric variability of Eurasian human remains from the Late Pleistocene and the Early Holocene, as well as on the analysis of their surface modifications, with particular attention paid to anatomically modern human fossils attributed to hunter-gatherer societies that inhabited southwestern France from the beginning of the Upper Paleolithic onwards. This research leads me to investigate the gestures performed by the living on the dead within these populations and to explore the social contexts in which these post-mortem manipulations were carried out.
