Research Interests

OPTILIB aims to improve ancient DNA recovery from archaeological remains by optimizing DNA library preparation and hybridization capture protocols. The project will assess and adapt these methods to different types of archaeological remains, including poorly preserved and previously underexplored materials. By improving the efficiency and reliability of ancient DNA analyses, OPTILIB will expand the range of archaeological samples suitable for genomic investigation and strengthen the potential of paleogenetics to address questions about past populations.
